But since this is obviously a bait attempt... I will play along...

    Why Korn rocks...

The angsty rap-metal quintet Korn has emerged from obscurity to become one of the most popular new bands of the 1990s, building an underground fan base worldwide through touring, not MTV imagery.

The roots of Korn go back to 1992 in the agricultural city of Bakersfield, Calif., where James "Munky" Shaffer (guitar), Brian "Head" Welch (guitar), Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu (bass) and David Silveria (drums) formed a heavy metal band called LAPD. After recording one album, LAPD dropped their singer and became Creep; with the addition of vocalist Jonathan Davis -- a mortician-in-training who formerly fronted a group called Sexart -- the band moved to Huntington Beach, near L.A., and became known as Korn. Their 1994 major-label debut, Korn, took off slowly, but after nearly two years of touring with Ozzy Osbourne, 311, Marilyn Manson, KMFDM and Megadeth, Korn had sold over 700,000 copies of their LP and built a large, loyal fan base of alienated small-town teens.

Their 1996 follow-up, Life Is Peachy, produced by Ross Robinson, debuted at No. 3 and spawned the radio hit "A.D.I.D.A.S.," signaling that despite its uncompromising sound, Korn had become a force to be reckoned with. During a stint on that summer's Lolapalooza tour, Korn proved to be by far the most popular attraction; two years later they launched their own "Family Values" tour as headliner. Also in 1998 the group garnered massive publicity when a student who wore a Korn shirt to school in conservative Zeeland, Mich., was suspended because his principal believed Korn's lyrics were "obscene;" the band responded by giving away free t-shirts outside the school.

    You have two options:

    Option 1 - Shut up
Option 2 - Me tearing off your head and ripping out your soul.

    KoRn sucks!
Even then, with their first album, self-titled KoRn, they seemed to have the potential to become one of the bands that can be uncerimoniously strewn into the bottomlesss pit that is the Atrocities of Noise.
During this short period before Life is Peachy, the period in which the only glimpse of mediocrity escaped, (and such a minute glimpse at that!) they seemed to be unaffected by the hip-hop influence that is all too appearant on the next three atrocities.

What's with this rap shit? Ice Cube? What the hell is this world coming to when pop culture labels KoRn and its sister bands "metal"? It is not metal. And mixing rock (if you will) and rap produces a potent form of dogshit whose horrid sounds make the true metalheads feel ashamed that the people nowadays call that bullshit metal.

KoRn has started an international movement for the weak and stupid to feel like they belong. Never in my life have I seen more white boys with braids, and dear lord is it ugly. At least the way head does it it's ugly. Dexter Hollands braids were cool. But heads? All the mindless children's? No. Ugly shit. And maybe they think it's cool because they know that it is ugly, and it signifies that they don't care what people think about them, even thought the grim, true reality is that they care so much about what people think that they know it gives them the much needed attention in order to feed their insecurity and their impoverished ego. Ooo. That hurts. This movement that nurtures society's weak and unintelligent is pathetic.

Seven stringed guitars are gravely misused. Origionally, the seven stringed guitar was designed by Steve Vai in order to acheive a greater range of tones. I bet he wishes he never did it.

KoRn uses them to get a lower tone, a tone with heavy distortion, no bite, no edge, just a flat, low, shitty, disgusting tone. Riffs by these 2 stooges can be made by dropping that big bad Ibanez on the floor. "Ok, now for this riff, what you gotta do is, pull the strap off the strap button, and very precisely with your right hand, grab the neck about where it meets the body, and fling the guitar across the room. For a better tone, if you're lucky and on tour with Slipknot, you can fling it at number 8." Their noise is horribly unintelligent simple shit that is good for just about one thing: making money off the mindless. And it works great. No talent guitar bullshit.

The drums are tuned with the slack of your average, everyday lawnchair. But eh, they're low! Cool right?! Right guys?! Huh guys?! Yeah...it has no strength, no balls whatsoever. Real drums can be heard in songs with Dave Lombardo, Vinnie Paul, and Lars Ulrich. They have more balls that KoRn's drums ever will, Lombardo especially.

KoRn is shit, there's no two ways about it. With their shit came more bands, helping to carry on the shit tradition, and the universal movement for the fucking stupid of the world.

Korn. Korn fans. That little coven of lunatic goth-bitches that lerps it's way across a stadium floor, breathing shallow ecstacy at the sight of a pack of talentless mongrels babbling on a stage. You've seen them with their torn fishnets and black lipstick, sallow cheeks and sullen eyes, sporting their little black t-shirts over too-thin, spidery adolescent limbs--t-shirts that proudly display their affinity for all things K-O-R-N. The little backwards 'R'...that's the key, after all. Sure, you've seen them creeping through crowds at all the shows. They are the too-thin, too-fat, pimply, pale 'misunderstood' fans with bad teeth and worse taste. And they are the excessively- tattooed-Looney Toons-loving mullet-sporting monster-truck mud-pulling crowd. They come into the shows that you go to so you can kick ass and rock your nuts off. And whose asses are you kicking? That's right: Korn fans.

Get in the pit. Rock your ass off. It is the American Way. While you are there--what is that you see, grimacing a mouthful of braces through black-smeared liver lips? A victim in an "Issues" t-shirt! Yes. Time for an ass-whipping. Let the mosh begin. For I say unto you: Korn does not rock. And Korn fans straight up blow whales. The more dedicated, the worse they are.

So do them a favor and beat the general anxious disdain for life right out of them. Anyone who finds inspiration in choice lyrics based on lame jokes from the 80's (Adidas) or senseless gibberish (Twist), or other garbage backed up by a crappy DJ and some over-produced feedback noise, belted out by a fat, bloated, stank, snaggle-toothed narcissist with white-boy dreads...well, they can use an ass-kicking.

Rocking your ass off. Kicking some pit-bitch ass. That is the American Way. Pit-pounding some slam-dancing wisp of gothic garbage that does NOT rock is just protecting that Way.*

Dude! You have a fucking attitude trying to discredit me like this. Stop going behind me making me look like a copy cat. I hate Korn too, everybody does. Korn even hates Korn, why else would they fucking act the way they do? You need a reality check or a board across the face missy.
